Back from the UBS

I was breezing through the aisles of the UBS near my parents' house, when I ran into a woman holding on to a few Sabrina Jeffries' novels and Mary Balogh's SILENT MELODY (still in shock over the fact that it was actually at a UBS...I got my copy on ebay for $12). We started talking and then she told me that if I wanted to read a book that's intelligent, sexy and hilarious, I had to read Georgina Gentry's TO TEMPT A TEXAN. I immediately ran to the G's and picked up the book. I can't wait to read it.

I still cannot believe I found this book. Mary Balogh's older books are nearly impossible to find at a UBS. IMPOSSIBLE!!! I got it for $3!!! Unbelievable! Who would get rid of it? I hope it doesn't suck! Otherwise, it'll be taking a trip back to the UBS in the near future..oh, wait...maybe that's why they got rid of it...

This book always catches my eye each time I go to the UBS. I don't know why, it just does. Today I decided to end my misery and just buy the damn book. It looks sexy and I hear Holly mostly writes erotica. GOOD! If I'm not getting any sex in my real life, I might as well get it from a book!

I recently read a study on sex improving one's public speaking skills and lowering blood pressure. I'm frightened! At the rate I'm going, I won't be able to have a conversation pretty soon! Yeah AND, to add insult to injury, I'll have a heart attack as well. FANTASTIC! Like being single isn't hard enough with rent and bills and all of that...now I'm going to die and not be able to tell anyone to help me out!

I've never read Gentry (her covers usually turn me off - but I like that cover)so I'll be looking to see how you enjoy it, Tangled is pretty good and while I didn't really care for Beyond Innocence that much, if you ever see Beyond Seduction - a sequel - now that one is excellent! It would work quite well as substitute

Are you serious? BEYOND SEDUCTION is a hit? Damn...it was there and I almost got it. The store's closed today...I'll get it next time. Don't worry, if I hate Gentry, I'll let you know...everyone will hear it. Just finished Garwood's book...wow! More to come on that one!

no no no Gentry... well at least for me I am still annoyed at her. Although I read this book before her letter to the editor. It was eh, the type of book a person picks up to read and never picks up another western but if you read westerns you might like it.

I have seen Tangled at least twice in ubs but never bought it. I have had pretty good luck with her OOP. I have Heartless, Deceived, Longing, Thief of Dreams, The Obedient Bride and The Incurable Matchmaker.

I like both Holly books, they have their problems and aren't as good as some of her erotica or paranormal. But she takes chances you don't normally see in them and for that alone I like them.

Holy crap...I played around with my template and I almost lost everything...all my links were gone and I had to fix it. Damn blogger! In any case, no to Gentry? I haven't started it...decided to take my friend's advice again and read BY DESIGN by Hunter. What did Gentry write to her editor? I've never read anything by her, so I'm confused...

no it was a letter to the editor at RWA if I member correctly...

She was bitching about EC's Covers being too graphic or something or other. And not wanting them in RWA. Hell I will have to look it up.
