OBSESSION

I'm surprised the word OBSESSION isn't being used incessantly in romance novels...the word WICKED is everywhere. Whatever....

It's difficult figuring out what books to buy. There's always that small chance the book you've been yearning for is a total dud, a flop, a stinker, a piece of shit!

I'm currently obsessively almost stalkerishly (is that a word?) searching websites for upcoming releases. I'm going nuts and can't stop. Must.buy.more.books.now!!! I have hundreds of books I've never read, books I could probably fill a library with (the Main Library, not my own personal one), yet I insist upon buying more, quickly depleting what little funds I have. There has to be a name for this condition I suffer from...this cannot be normal.

I already have my upcoming months planned. The following are books I long to buy, even though I know little about them...yeah, I know I'm asking for duds, but whatever...it's fun to hope and believe that maybe...just maybe I'll find THE ONE...that one book that will make my stomach do flips, give me butterflies and put a permanent smile on my face for at least a day.

Here you go:

November
Lorraine Heath - A DUKE OF HER OWN
Jennifer Ashley - THE MAD, BAD DUKE
Renee Bernard - A LADY'S PLEASURE

December
Mary Balogh - THE GILDED WEB

2007
Gaelen Foley - HER SECRET FANTASY, HER SECRET PLEASURE, HER ONLY DESIRE (trilogy)
Loretta Chase - NOT QUITE A LADY
Adele Ashworth - THE DUKE'S INDISCRETION
Lisa Kleypas - SUGAR DADDY
Julianne MacLean - SURRENDER TO A SCOUNDREL
Lisa Valdez - PATIENCE
Laura Lee Guhrke - AND THEN HE KISSED HER

Candice Hern - LADY BE BAD
Julie Anne Long - THE SECRET TO SEDUCTION

Mary Balogh - SIMPLY MAGIC
Mary Balogh - SIMPLY PERFECT

This is the list for now...I'm forgetting a lot, I know, but right now this is all my mind can handle.
Do you know of any other books I should add to my list???

Crap ~ more books. Oh the horror! :-) I guess I need to check these ones out too and see which ones I'll be adding to Mt. TBR next year.

And I forgot to answer your question ~ I'm at work now, and my mind is a little rummy..I can't even think of more to recommend. I catalog my books at librarything so I'll see what I've got listed there ~ 1,479 books at last count (not all owned, thank God, or I'd have no place to sleep). I should be able to recommend something.

Laura Lee Guhrke??? I couldn't get through her book. I even forgot the name of it. LOL.

Oh and I haven't done email in ages. Yeah. I even did a post on me staying far away from email but if you need to talk always let me know on my blog that you sent me an email so I go and check it. If not it could sit there for eons and eons. :-)

P.S. I have now decided that I won't be looking at any new books or reviews or anything literary related until I finish my TBR!!!!

Mailyn,
Re: TBR...that's a good idea. I'm actually sorta kinda doing that...except that last time I went to Walmart and the deals they had were too difficult to miss. ARGH! I wish I had your strength!

No e-mail huh? That's me and my yahoo account. I check it every now and then...my work account is a different story....I have no choice but to check it, so a lot of my friends e-mail me there.

Re: Laura Lee G. - yeah, ok...her last book wasn't that great! it could have been better. It was good...not excellent, but I enjoyed her other books. I think the one you read that you couldn't finish was Dylan's story...HIS EVERY KISS, I think. No one likes that book...somehow I did..or at least I remember liking it.

Devonna - i need to look into that library thing you have...once my computer gets set up at home. INternet in a few days (i hate waiting...argh!!!).

Hi. quite the list you have there! I need to go add a few to my wish list.

I just read the Web Trilogy (Balogh). My sister had the original publications of these. The first two were great (Balogh's fabulous character development at work) but I didn't like the last one. Both the hero and heroine needed a good slap.
