Desire Never Dies

Coming 12/26/06, book 2 of Petersen's Lady Spy series...woo hoo. Here's some info from Jenna's site:

Shy, intelligent widow Anastasia Whittig is really a Lady Spy in name only. Though she invents important items and decodes evidence, she’s hardly ventured into the field and keeps herself wrapped in a shroud of mourning for her late husband. She’s perfectly content to continue her sheltered life, but when one of her best friend’s is shot, she’s forced into service at the side of Lucas Tyler.

Lucas is a daring, talented spy, driven to solve the case of attacks on his fellow agents. He doesn’t want any help, and certainly not from Ana. But as the two edge ever closer to the disturbing truth, they cannot keep from developing a grudging respect for each other. And they cannot ignore the undeniable desire that threatens to change both their worlds.

Anyone else as excited as I am? I'm loving the first book. Still on vacation and addicted to blogging...well, that and the fact that there's not much to do in San Diego. If you're from San Diego and are reading, please give me some tips...I've eaten in OLD TOWN twice and already went to TJ (I'll skip this next time).

eek! I don't like that cover at all. I have tried to read FLwL a few times but haven't gotten far.

I almost bought it today because I was wondering if my reading issues have anythign to do with my copy being an unbound ARC.

Will have to try again...

Hey,
I'm home again (I think I'm still a little drained from my dad's ordeal because I just want to be home). I had a bit of a problem with FLWL also at the beginning. It's speeding up and I'm actually enjoying it. Petersen is def one of those authors to remember. She's def going places! Very talented...the spy plot...well, I'll wait before I say anything about it...ok...I'll say it now...it struck me as a little cheesy but I forgot about it once it got to the love story. More to come when I'm done and review this (I'm not done with the book).
The cover? It's different...and very similar to FLWL. More comments to follow.

One more thing...I tend to change my mind about a book once I finish it, so I might be premature...good luck with the book!

one more...she doesn't seem too attractive. I don't why I'm thinking greasy surfer dude for the guy...gosh, I should stop...I think I'll just imagine GERARD and myself when the book comes out. Sounds like a plan!

Just read some of your blog after linking over from my friends site and I love it. I too think I was born in the wrong time but I suppose nothing can be done. Kudos on the blog. Hope your father feels better soon.

My thoughts are with your family.

Also, excited that Peterson has not only plucked sad little Money Penny back into Regency times, but that she's getting out of the office, too.

Bond Chicks in Corsets, who do more than sleep with Pierce Brosnan and betray the mother country. I think I'm going to have to look into this series!
