Don't You...Forget About Me

Hello to whatever's left of my blog readership! I've been MIA for months primarily due to a death in the family and loss of any kind of willingness to read anything remotely romantic. I've missed blogging a great deal and will get back to it next week. I have to address the Lisa Valdez PATIENCE debacle, among other things. Readers have been pretty patient with Ms. Valdez. Honestly, at this point, I don't remember anything about her first novel, PASSION. Do I care whether the book will ever come out? Not anymore. Am I pissed for the run around? Yes...most definitely.

Hey bebe! I've missed you.

Sybil had some updates about the Valdez situation not too long ago. I never really cared, since I didn't read Passion to begin with, but I do think it's crap that she's been so wishy washy.

It's about damn time you're back!

The Valdez situation...*sigh* I just don't understand what's up with her.

I haven't read Passion but I don't think I will after all this debacle!

Glad to be back...gosh, I've missed blogging. Now I need to get back to reading a good one. All I've been reading are historical biographies lately and books on WW2.

I'm so glad to see you back! Hope you'll be around more.

Sorry to see you've had a death in the family. I tend to disappear when I haven't read anything, also ~ but I'm trying not to do that anymore. I've been assured I can blog about anything on my blog ~~ it doesn't always have to be about books :-)

What's HC, Sybil? I need to get back to my UBS store. The owner probably thinks I got hit by a truck (I went from going there every weekend to not going there at all for the last 4 months).

Kristie - It was tough seeing him deteriorate but he had to go. He was in such tremendous pain. The hardest thing was seeing the effect it had on my mother, his daughter. Really difficult. I'm back though and look fwd to writing more. I really missed it!!!

Welcome back! So sorry to hear about your loss.

As for Valdez... I loved Passion, and much as it now pains me to say it, I know I'll end up reading Patience, even tho I'm waaay out of it (patience, that is). And how ironic is it that that is the title of this book, huh?
