Still Here

I'm alive and well...I promise. A mixture of stress, work, seasonal depression and exhaustion have gotten to me lately. I don't know what I'm feeling anymore...gosh.

In any case, it's time to snap out of it, right? I have reviews coming up for:

THE RAVEN PRINCE
RULES OF SEDUCTION
A SUMMER TO REMEMBER

Also, just so you know...I've finally read Lorraine Heath's Texas series and I really cannot believe the books were written by the same author who wrote A DUKE OF HER OWN. Now I get it....what the f*ck happened?

Little rumor that Julie Anne Long is moving to Avon...say it ain't so, Julie! Please!!! If it's true, promise you WILL NOT change your writing style...do not let the powers that be at Avon change you or influence you or bribe you with money to write a story about a fallen woman turned teacher who then runs into the man who ruined her at the school she's teaching in (because he just so happens to be the uncle, brother or father of some brat you're teaching).

Ok...done...more to come. Oh...and I'm still hoping to surprise you all with a bit more. Let's see what I can come up with.

Snap out of it! I need some good recommendations... :) I'm heading home in March for a short visit so I can stock up.

PS> Are you a Nutella Lover? I'm co-hosting World Nutella Day on my site - remembering your Italian origins I thought maybe you've got the addiction, too! :)

I personally cannot WAIT to read those reviews ... and for a girl who says she needs to snap out of it, you seem pretty darn snappy to me!!!

Just got the Raven Prince from Amazon: can't wait to read it :)

I don't know whether to laugh or cry reading this statement. Laugh in a it's funny because it's true way or cry in a sad because it's true way.

Heath started losing me before she left Texas. For a while she set her stories in Texas, but was importing Englishmen over as heroes. That's when my interest waned and I can't bring myself to even try her all-out English historicals....

Heeeyyyy! Welcome back!! I wondered where you had gotten to. I hope you're coming out of whatever it was that ailed you.

And as for Heath - what Wendy says!! I really noticed a turn in her style when she moved to 'the publisher who shall not be named'. As Wendy said, there was a definite change to her style right about the same time. Coinidence? I dunno - but I'm just sayin' they happened pretty much the same time. And a couple more you really need to read - Sweet Lullabye and Always to Remember and you REALLY question what happened to her and mourn that whater it was did!

And I'm looking forward to see what you have to say about The Raven Prince too. I really loved that book.

I have Rules of Seduction in my TBR pile. And I loved A Summer to Remember. Have you read One Night for Love? That was my first Mary Balogh and ASTR was my second. I highly recommend ONFL if you haven't read it yet.

I hear you on the seasonal depression and stress. We've had a similar hiatus over at DSW... I'm glad you're back on the web and hope we can manage a similar comeback.

Good to "hear" your voice again.
