I'm thinking you will because I know historicals are your favourites! And of course I'll be waiting for your thoughts once you read the Texas trilogy. I didn't think the third one was as good as the first two. But the first two were wonderful!! And do you have Sweet Lullabye? I know it's hard to find, but if a book were ever to make you cry, this is the one!Kristie (J)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15743921647882733738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14637143.post-1165894809580070992006-12-11T19:40:00.000-08:002006-12-11T19:40:00.000-08:00Kristie - you were exactly the person (well, you a...Kristie - you were exactly the person (well, you and Sybil) I was thinking of when I mentioned people who don't like Heath's new books (I did mention that, right?)...I will have to try the westerns soon...I have all of them now..except ALWAYS but I should get started on the TEXAS series!!!

I'm glad to be back...the last few weeks and months have been weird for me. Bought the RAVEN PRINCE thanks to your suggestion...will read it after Hunter's RULES OF SEDUCTION...goody!!!romanceloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12905716428189193561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14637143.post-1165889877072238872006-12-11T18:17:00.000-08:002006-12-11T18:17:00.000-08:00Glad you're back reading! I was kind of disappointed at the end of Something about Emmaline by Elizabeth Boyle so I haven't read one by her since. I did like it up until then and I have others of hers that I've liked. Sounds like a good one to wait and find used - to see if I'm ready to jump back into the Boyle waters.

I have the original Angel in a Red Dress (Starlit Surrender I think)unread yet so I'm not sure if I'll pick this one up or not.

We part ways on The Lion's Daughter. I really liked it. I thought it refreshing to see a not so heroic hero *g*

And - well - you know my thoughts on the last author. I really can hardly wait until you give her Westerns a try to see if you notice a difference in her style of writing.Kristie (J)https://www.blogger.com/profile/15743921647882733738noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14637143.post-1165850754635168862006-12-11T07:25:00.000-08:002006-12-11T07:25:00.000-08:00Lori - Everyone tells me that if you read Heath's ...Lori - Everyone tells me that if you read Heath's earlier books (Texas Destiny, Texas Glory), you won't like her Victorian series books. I don't know if this is really the case, but I do hear that her Westerns are excellent and I'll report on them once I get around to reading them. Try this book out. I enjoyed it...hmmm...trying to think of what book I started with...I started with AN INVITATION TO SEDUCTION, which is book 4 of a series...I loved AS AN EARL DESIRES...I would go to her site and check out her books, but definitely try her out. Try this book...not perfect, but not bad either. Good start to a series.

Please don't shout at me if you don't care for it :)romanceloverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12905716428189193561noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14637143.post-1165815401118665012006-12-10T21:36:00.000-08:002006-12-10T21:36:00.000-08:00Wow, you've been busy! I'm one of those who didn't think This Rake of Mine was too bad.

As for the Chase book, I'm finding her books to be very hit or miss, much to my huge disappointment. Loved LoS, The Last Hellion, and Lord Perfect. The other Carsington books have been good, but not great for me.

I keep hearing how fantastic Lorraine Heath is - must put her on my TBR list. Is this a good first book? Or is there a better one to start with?Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08250972350798310498noreply@blogger.com
